Right now if you were to head to Mint’s website and grab an annual unlimited plan you’d pay $300 upfront, or what works out to $25 a month. This already represented a savings of $60 over the normal $30 a month rate, but for a limited time, you can do even better by turning to Best Buy.

Right now Best Buy is offering a 12-month Mint Mobile Unlimited plan for just $240 ($20 a month), which is $60 less than you’d pay at Mint’s website. This is the best deal we’ve seen on Mint Mobile this year, even if it’s not quite as impressive as last year’s annual promotion that gave you unlimited for the price of its lowest tier limited plan. Keep in mind only new customers are eligible for this offer.

There is another small catch with this new promo, but for most people, it should be easy to work around. This plan includes a physical SIM card, which means you won’t be able to use eSIM out of the gate, but the good news is you can convert it to an eSIM later, as long as you activate the SIM card in a compatible phone first. Once the account is active you’ll just need to log into the app to order a replacement SIM on your active account. During this process, you’ll be given the option of picking eSIM over a physical card.

It’s obvious Mint Mobile can save you a lot of money, but is the service any good? While we dive a bit deeper in our in-depth guide comparing Mint versus the big three US carriers, let’s just say that there’s a lot to like here for the low price including:

  • Unlimited talk, text, and data with no caps. While Mint used to cap you at 40GB and then slow you down to unmanageable speeds. You’ll now get unlimited data with no hard caps.
  •  The power of T-Mobile’s network, for less. Running at the same priority as T-Mobile’s base Essential and Essential Value plans, you’ll get all the advantages of T-Mobile’s network, though performance could weaken during times of heavier network congestion.
  • Online and phone-based customer support. You might not get in-store help, but you’ll find Mint has a variety of online and phone-based customer service options.

If you are looking for an affordable plan that does the job without bells and whistles, you’ll find Mint Mobile could be the perfect fit.
